This weekend both La Farge and Gays Mills will be hosting special Fourth of July events.
La Farge hosts its annual Fourth of July Celebration with the annual parade Friday at 10:30 a.m.
Other events in La Farge include the crowning of Miss Fourth of July and the Little Princess, Thursday at 7:30 p.m.; Music in the Park, beginning at the La Farge Village Park, Friday, at 12:30 p.m.; firemen’s waterfights, Friday, at 1 p.m.; and the annual fireworks, Friday, at dusk.
Gays Mills will host a Freedom Festival at the Lions Park, Saturday, July 5, at 5 p.m.
The rock band i4Ni is set to play. In addition to the music, there will be brats, burgers and hot dogs from the Kickapoo Locker in Gays Mills.
The music is free of charge and the food will be reasonably priced, according to organizers.
