The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Vernon County lasting through Tuesday at 6 p.m.
The advisory was necessary because the NWS predicts that a low-pressure weather system will drop up to eight inches of snow on Vernon County from late Monday into Tuesday night.
Snowfall accumulation totals are dependant on the path of the storm. Areas closer to Lake Michigan are to get close to a foot of snow as the weather system passes through.
After the storm, temperatures are to fall, with an overnight low of 3 degrees predicted for Wednesday.
The advisory was announced at 11:49 a.m., Monday.
